Starts in 1964 as a technician in a fur tannery where he is responsible for the maintenance of the machines. In 1970 he becomes also foreman responsible for the quality of the production.
In 1977 he starts up his own tannery with machines he made himself and in 1984, he starts up a fur shop in Lochristi (Belgium).
In 1994, he takes a patent on a tool to let-out fur that he developed.
He retires in 2008, but starts up the development of a machine to facilitate the time consuming air gallon technique. The result is the Germain's Fur Air Gallon Machine that also can be used to make meshed fur.
In 2013, he brings his invention, together with his younger colleague Christian Parmentier, on the market.
Starts in 1983 in the family business Parmentier. Parmentier is the leading fur company in Belgium with 5 boutiques located in Antwerp, Brussels, Knokke-Zoute, Kortenberg and Meulebeke. He works together with his brother Alain.
In 2013, he decides to work together with Germain Martens to bring the Germain's Fur Air Gallon Machine to the market.
